Project description
I led a multi-site evaluation of the Oakland Fund for Children and Youth’s summer program grantees.

Approach
The evaluation reviewed performance and point-of-service quality at 16 community- and school-based OFCY grantee sites. To collect necessary evaluation data, I conducted site visits, fielded attitudinal surveys, and interviewed key program stakeholders. The evaluation included quantitative measures (such as number of youth served, attendance days, and youth service hours) and qualitative measures (such as youth-reported sense of safety, self-confidence, and motivation). The evaluation culminated with the delivery of a report sharing evaluation findings and recommendations for program improvement.

Impact
  • Designed and fielded a rigorous and user-friendly attitudinal survey
  • Delivered project stakeholders an evaluation report on PD course effectiveness
  • Presented findings and recommendations to encourage ongoing improvement
