Description

The AI Studio Foundations course aimed to equip learners—both Asana staff, and later customers—with the skills to design and implement AI-powered workflows in Asana’s AI Studio.

I was responsible for designing and developing the elearning experience, and defining learning outcomes, performance objectives, and a summative assessment used across both live and online training.
Approach: Design

I applied a backward design approach and worked closely with the education and marketing teams to identify subject matter experts (SMEs) who provided examples of AI-powered workflows.

I aligned with key stakeholders on the desired result, and I used the SME-approved examples to unpack the skills customers would need when creating an end-to-end workflow with Asana's new AI Studio feature set.
Approach: Development

I adapted the live training curriculum into a 2-3 hour standalone online learning experience, ensuring alignment of content in both products. I developed the elearning experience in Articulate Rise, incorporating multimodal lessons, practice activities, and knowledge checks. I created hands-on activities in the Asana platform; collaborated with the video team to produce instructional videos and graphics; and built a rigorous end-of-course assessment in Skilljar.
Approach: Test & launch

Because I was working on an accelerated timeline—without the ability to conduct a full beta test—I worked with a product manager to implement a two-phase stakeholder review process to refine the course and identify P0 improvements. First, I conducted a senior stakeholder review to ensure alignment and secure final sign-off. At the same time, I gathered expert recommendations to optimize content and identify future improvements. This approach not only streamlined approval but also fostered strong stakeholder buy-in, facilitating course success.

In the end, this project successfully delivered an engaging, research-backed learning experience that helped both internal teams and customers leverage AI Studio for workflow-building—bridging the gap between feature awareness and practical application.
