Project description
With the company's online learning project quickly scaling-up, new writers and instructional designers needed comprehensive, hands-on guides to help them apply editorial guidelines with less direct support.

Approach**
To meet the project goal, I worked closely with a cross-functional team to standardize a how-to guide format, document best practices, and create asset-specific link libraries. To encourage easier navigation, I applied web content organization principles so the guides would function like wikis. After sharing the guides with the team, I was responsible for maintaining and updating the documents and leading working groups when new processes or products required documentation.

Impact
  • Streamlined content development workflow
  • Improved content first drafts, requiring less developmental editing
  • Reduced friction in the onboarding process

**Note: The accompanying work sample illustrates a best practices-informed methodology I would apply to a similar project. It does not represent a specific company’s product or process and is not based on work performed for a specific company.
