Ross Institute Category Instructional design UX design Attributes Content development Educational writing Evaluation design Project description Leadership at Ross Institute enlisted me for an innovative, cross-disciplinary project with the goal of transforming teacher professional development at Ross School, the Institute’s affiliated K–12 day and boarding school. Approach I joined a team of UX designers, developers, and master teachers tasked with reenvisioning the design and delivery of the Institute’s annual teacher professional development retreat. I applied my expertise in educational writing to flesh out curricula into fully-developed, web-based activities and assessments complete with instructions and quiz questions. In addition, I designed the evaluation for the project. I created an attitudinal survey to gauge professional development quality and effectiveness, analyzed the results, and delivered findings in a stakeholder-friendly deck to facilitate ongoing quality improvement.
